Hi Stewart,

Sorry your wiki is playing tricks on you! About your table - because it is html, the table will always shrink if it doesn't have anything in the cells. As soon as you put something in there, the cells expand to fit the size of the text. Try doing that and see if it works. To make your table align to the right or to centre it is not easy. Best advice I can give is to point you to the wikispaces discussion forum where people have asked similar questions and you can check out the answers for yourself. It probably involves fiddling with the CSS. Go to http://www.wikispaces.com/message/list/home and in the search box type 'tables' and see what comes up. I found quite a bit of useful stuff there which is explained better than I can do.

Inserting and saving lines? - I am not sure why that's not working. I just tried it again and it works for me. Maybe when I come out to see you (whenever that is) we can look at it together.

Good luck and hope you get sorted out soon - let me know how you go. If you find an easy way to control tables let's put it on the wiki so everyone can benefit!

Cheers
I need help!
I have struggled for 'hours' to 'lock down' the design of my table on a page in my website. As soon as I go to save the table it shrinks to minimal size and moves fromt he centre of the page (where I placed it) over to the left hand side!

Also, I have had no success with saving lines on the page - the pre-saved version looks perfect but as soon as I save it - the lines (horizontal lines) disappear!

So - it you know the solutions to these frustrating features - let me know by emailing me on robinson@hard.net.au

Thanks, Stewart

Hi again Stewarte - I have just read your reflections and notice that your huge file is only one page?? What I think you are doing is scanning your document as an image and that is why it is so large. Do you have OCR software that came with your scanner? If so, you can scan your document into Word and make it a Word file which will be much smaller.
Hi Stewarte - my advice to you is to split your file into 2 parts - eg Part 1 and Part 2 and make two files. I have done that quite successfully with large files. Hope that helps
Frustration - I have copied a document that I wish to place on a page and it would not upload. I discovered that it was 88mb and the limit is 50mb. Is there a solution to this problem? This wikiis being organised for other members to view and print out relevant documents related to our work.
